Learn hands-on the ways people throughout history have used writing to communicate and preserve information! This DIY Program will explore the evolution of written communication from ancient cuneiform to modern typewriting.
In this free and interactive program, inscribe cuneiform symbols onto clay tablets, practice traditional German Fraktur with quills and ink, and use an authentic vintage typewriter. Additionally, enjoy an artifact display showing additional examples of how written communication has evolved thousands of years.
Drop in anytime from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. to explore history and do-it-yourself!
DIY (Do-It-Yourself) History Days are a new program series of free, hands-on, family-friendly activities in the Museum.

This program is generously funded by the EQT Foundation.
