West Overton Distilling's first cherry cordial will be released during Whiskey Wednesdays on Wednesday, July 8, from 6 - 8 p.m.

Made with rye whiskey, cherries, and baking spices, West Overton Distilling's Cherry Bounce draws inspiration from history and can be enjoyed on its own or in cocktails.

Cherry bounce was a popular cordial during the time of the American Revolution, one George Washington was known to have enjoyed and brought with him on travels to western Pennsylvania.

At West Overton, a ledger entry from July 1862 confirms that Cherry Bounce was made on site. That month, Henry S. Overholt purchased cherries and whiskey “to make bounce.”

This Cherry Bounce blends early American history with West Overton's rich history of rye whiskey distilling, making it a perfect way to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. Additionally, the first 250 bottles will feature a special comemmorative tag.

This product will be available for purchase during Whiskey Wednesdays on July 8, then exclusively available at the Distillery at West Overton Village.
